Little girls in their Hollywood Bungalows

Erica and I traveled very well together. We had a lot of time to really get to know each other and I am so grateful for that chance. As I have said we have known each other for years but this was the first chance we had one on one time and I feel like I gained a very good friend out of this trip.

I was able to find us the perfect little bungalow off Sunset Blvd.

Craig our Hollywood Host

Craig our Hollywood Host

Our host,Craig DeSilva is a session musician and does voice over work. Next time we will try to get him to come to a show with us.

We both had crushes on him, mostly me I think.  Where I normally would never want to hang out with someone I rented a place from, we relished hanging out with Craig between shows.  He seemed like a friend, he definitely put up with a lot from us like a friend.  From waiting up to check us in after we got home from the seal beach show, to loud late night conversations on our patio which is directly behind his house.  Even letting me add another traveler to the mix when Martha flew down Friday night to join us at the Troubadour and stay in the little doll house.

Erica and I had one day in between shows that we just hung out in the dollhouse smoking on the patio.  Of course we did manage to get some shopping in which we did use the car, but we mostly walked in our little Hollywood neighborhood.  We had planned several thrift stores right in the area but we went to Goodwill first and in the same parking lot we also went to the Dollar Store (not actually THE Dollar Store just Dollar Store where some things were a dollar but most things were 3 and 4 dollars.) We bought a lot of things in Dollar Store, some cute pigtail thingys for Erica’s amazing hair and she bought me a little pursey that she saw me admire.  I bought fans for the girls at the show and one for Laurie at home because she always talks about having a fan.  I bought some bobby pins and a big ass ring to go with my sparkles for Hollywood’s Troubadour Friday night.  Then we hit the Goodwill.  Erica passed the shopping test.  I despise shopping with other people I am in there to hunt I haven’t time to comment on every outfit a person picks out.  I like to dig in and then have a fashion show you show me yours  I’ll show you yours later at home.  We both made our bones at the Hollywood Goodwill so we called it a day and went back to take a nap at the bungalow.

The next day we would spend smoking on the patio some more and getting ready for the show.  Martha had a minor hicup in that she needed to tend to some family business and take a slightly later plane, which would have her arrive just in time if not a few minutes into the Insects vs Robots set, she planned on taking a cab directly to the show.  I wondered how I would get in since I was sure to be there before her now and she had our tickets.
